Improved Object Searching

Version 1.6 of AstroGrav includes an improved Edit / Find... facility. Earlier versions of AstroGrav would fail to find an object whose name included the search string enclosed in brackets - for example, searching for "C/2006 P1" would fail to find an object called "Comet McNaught (C/2006 P1)". This has now been corrected.

Easier License Entry

Version 1.6 of AstroGrav allows you to enter your license immediately after purchase, without having to exit and re-start AstroGrav in order to display the Welcome to AstroGrav dialog. To use this, choose the Help / Enter License... menu item (or the 'Help / Enter License...' icon tool), and enter your license in the dialog that is displayed.

Other Improvements

Version 1.6 of AstroGrav also has many other minor improvements and bug fixes, including the following.

  • Evolution of simulations has been speeded up by approximately 5%.
  • Input validation has been added to the time fields of the Edit / Time/Date... and Evolve / Evolve To... dialogs.
  • A bug has been fixed that caused the Edit / Units... dialog to sometimes show the wrong position unit in the Solar System sample simulations.
  • Minor corrections have been made to the German translations.
