Juno's Earth Flyby

This simulation shows Juno's flyby of the Earth on 9th October 2013. It can be compared to the video produced by the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and composed of photographs taken from Juno as it approached the Earth:

The purpose of the Earth flyby was to accelerate Juno towards Jupiter using a gravity assist. The spacecraft is highlighted in the table to make it easier to watch the changing orbital elements during the flyby.

Since different computers run at different speeds, you may need to edit the evolution time step to get the simulation to run at an acceptable rate.
